Friday was a great day to test the skills in the Hobie Revolution 13. With five feet of swell and a high tide over the bar but no wind, the seas looked like an inviting challenge.
The fast incoming tide meant the turbo fins were a big advantage allowing me to make ground easily. The Australian salmon were everywhere out towards the entrance of Anderson inlet. I'm normally in the Adventure Island and quite happily ignoring the "washing machine" conditions. But in the Revo I'm finding the best technique is to steer into the tide and waves and cast back sideways into the schooling fish.
