Should we buy a Tandem or Two Single Kayaks?
Can I use the Tandem on my own?
My advice relates to the frequency of use. If you will be using your tandem 80% of the time or more as a tandem, a Tandem Hobie Kayak is a great way to go. If not, you will enjoy the experience in single kayaks far better. Easier to load and handle by yourself.
When using a tandem kayak one up, it may require additional weight in the front of the kayak to balance the load. Also you will need to consider your options of transport mode for ease of loading the additional weight on your own.
