Rory Mackenzie landed a crackin' Gummy Shark using fresh bait at Mahers Landing during the summer holidays. His son Romi was so impressed he had to have a go.

Romi landed his first gummy that he released unharmed.

The viewers poll indicated pound for pound, your fish was bigger!

Well done Romi!

Inverloch Holiday Fishing Highlights 16th April 2014

Wed, 04/16/2014 - 12:44 -- David Walsh

The Entrance to Pensioners Point. Around the high tide the schools of salmon are about. Berley is the key to attract the fish towards the shore as the tide runs out or use tuna oil on your bait. (use an old sauce dispenser bottle to help apply the oil to the baits without ending up with messy hands) Around the bottom of the tide, whiting to 35cm are taking fresh pipi mussel meat and live bass yabbies on the edges of the channel.

Inverloch Jetty.
