Fishing the Venus Bay Islands 17th April 2014

Fri, 04/18/2014 - 15:49 -- David Walsh

I enjoy seeing fathers taking an interest in getting their kids outdoors in search of adventure. Eddie and his son Samual are on holidays to enjoy some fishing in their boat. They also had a plan...for Samual to catch his first Estuary Perch on a lure. We suggested the Venus Bay Islands and a few tactics. They did that and more. Thanks for the correspondance and the pictures. Well done guys!

Inverloch Holiday Fishing Highlights 16th April 2014

Wed, 04/16/2014 - 12:44 -- David Walsh

The Entrance to Pensioners Point. Around the high tide the schools of salmon are about. Berley is the key to attract the fish towards the shore as the tide runs out or use tuna oil on your bait. (use an old sauce dispenser bottle to help apply the oil to the baits without ending up with messy hands) Around the bottom of the tide, whiting to 35cm are taking fresh pipi mussel meat and live bass yabbies on the edges of the channel.

Inverloch Jetty.
