Fishing at the Inverloch Jetty during the week is a special land-based location as young Zac and his family discovered. Lacking the boating activity of weekends, the fish and other sea creatures that enjoy weed beds around the Jetty and east of the jetty are more comfortable to feed. At low tide yesterday, Zac was fishing with pipi in search of King George Whiting, but instead his baits were being followed by calamari. A change of tactics, using a squid jig landed this beautiful calamari. When fishing low tides on the jetty, remember to bring a long handled net to maximize your catch.
Well done Zac and it is awesome that you well prepared for your fishing adventures with a good variety of tackle (incl squid jigs) and were earing a life jacket.
