In horrific conditions today, a good sized school of Australian Salmon moved along the beaches at Pensioners Point.
Fish ranged from 32 to 43cm and smashed silver metal lures cast out into the channel.
After checking our records, the Salmon were three days later than last year.
So put the first week of June in your diaries for next year and hope it coincides with the black days (three days after each new moon) in the Fishing Almanac.
Get your spinning gear and your metal lures to fish the last hour of the incoming times over the next few days.
