Hobie Revolution 13 - Quick overview of the Hobie Revo 13. The Hobie revo 13 in our opnion is the most versatile kayak in the Hobie range. The Revo 13 is a great all-rounder. Its fast and can be used on longer trips, it's a good fishing kayak and is well suited for use in rivers, estuaries and light offshore conditions.

The most compact kayak in the Hobie range is it is the Hobie Sport. Its best suited for trips up to 5 to 8 kilometres and you can launch this kayak from beaches,  boat ramps and river banks and we suggest that it's best suited for people up to 5 foot 8.

The Hobie Revo 13 kayak is a nice light weight kayak. Being so light it's pretty easy to cartop. Stripped down the kayak weighs 70.5 lbs / 32 kg. It's relatively easy to car top using the side loader.

The Hobie Tandem Island is an awesome sail kayak. This footage is from one of our demo days. For those of you that know Inverloch, it's often windy, so it's a great place to run the on-water kayak demos. But on this day, No Wind!We still have some fun, though, and the wind finally picked up ever so slightly.

With a fine break in the weather and an increase in the water temperature, the fishing and variety of fish has greatly improved. From the beaches at Inverloch, Snapper to 78cm and Gummy Shark to a metre have been taken from the beaches after dark. Last year the Snapper entered the Inlet around mid October, but this year it is all happening a month later. But the rewards have been outstanding. Alfie (pictured) used up all his leave passes to fish the nightime off the Inverloch Beaches. The first night resulted in small gummies, good sized pinkies and a 72cm Snapper. And the next night he achieved a landbased PB with a 78cm Snapper.

As part of our car topping series, we look at car topping the Hobie sport. Being a nice light weight kayak is pretty easy for most people to handle. In this video, we use the Rhino side loader.

The Hobie Eclipse is one of the most exciting water products to hit the market in years. A stand up paddle board mixed with the Hobie Mirage drive. In this video, we take a look at the Eclipse and take it for a run on Andersons Inlet. It was a cold, windy day, and the current was heading out so it was a good time to see how it performs in less than ideal conditions.

The Hobie Sport is the lightest and smallest kayak in the Hobie range. It's best suited for light work in rivers and estuaries and has a payload capacity of 102 kg. It's not great for tall people as you will see in this video. It's best suited for people up to about 5' 8

We had great fun testing the Hobie Mirage Eclipse on Anderson Inlet last Saturday. Conditions were a little messy...a 3 knot outgoing tide with a 12-15knot WNW cross wind. Main excellent ground into the tide and all who tested were impressed by the stability of both the 10.5 and the 12' Eclipse. Steering was very responsive and will post a video soon. A big thanks to Shane Osbourne for his great photos.
