David from Rod Bending's World is conducting a four week fishing program ( 2 hours per week) for primary school kids at the Koonwarra Village School.

What are Fish Like?
We will look at the different characteristics of different fish species, their habitat and what they eat.
Week 2 School
Wednesday 17th October 2012
We will learn the safety requirements of fishing, to tie the essential fishing knot, the basics of casting and knowing when we have an inquisitive fish.
Week 3 Field Trip

Exploring the Beach and Collecting Bait
Low Tide 12.47pm
Armed with bait pumps, we will attempt to collect live bait from Stinky Beach (Flatrocks). We will also explore the rock-pools and the water’s edge for other interesting life forms.

Let's catch Dinner!
High Tide 1.38pm
At Andrson Inlet, we will put our casting techniques to the test and fish on the sandy beach at the end of Pimble Ave for King George Whiting, trevally flathead and mullet.
